I have searched for the origins of my 2.g.grandmother for quite some time. I recently found her grave in Danville, Boyle County, KY. The information in a book at the cemetery indicates that she was born in Whitley County, KY.
Her name is Nancy HARRIS. Birth: ca. 1812.
m. Henry SKIMMERHORN ca. 1828, d. Danville, KY, 09-Jan-1862, age: 51
Nancy and Henry lived in Rockcastle (1850), Garrard (1855), Boyle (1860).

I am wondering if the Bryan Station has any
relation to Bryan Store, located in Whiltley Co. I am working on WILSON's in
Whiltley & Bell CO. and have heard serveral refereces to that name (Bryan's
Store) of a location near Pine Mountain along the Cumberland River.
My John Asbury Wilson appears in the Whitley Co area sometime in the early
1800s.

I am querying about relatives with these last names. They lived in
Whitley and my mom was a "Bear mountain Girl" in the fifties(1958,at
least) She married Clifford Freels. Her maiden name was Paula Vaughn,
daughter of Irene Vaughn. Any info would be greatly apprecialted as I
have no other sources for family history.

I am looking for the families of James Henry Holman and Sarah Hall.
James's parents were Lankford Holman and Jeruisha Strunk. James was born
in Corbin in 1877. He also married in Whitley. Sarah Hall's parents were
John and Maze Hall. [Mize}.

Looking for information on TOWE's and GANT's from
Whitley County. As far back as I'm sure they are in
Whitley, are WIlliam L. Gant. Was married to
Amanda M Wilson.. who was killed at age 28 or so.
Remarried to Hannah DAILEY. Will has 12 children
between both wives we think.
TOWE's Loranzo TOWE II.. born in Indiana.. and
we think resided in Whitley County at the time of
his death. His wife died in 1928 in WHitley.
Mary Jane GOINS. Loranzo had 4 children..
McClellan, Dan, George and Jim. All
were born in Tennessee maybe.. Mcclellan was.
Not sure on the other 3. McClellan resided
in Whitley COunty, and died in Bell.
